Defenders Girls Soccer - Spring 2026

Girl's soccer registration now open for students from 6th to 12th grade!  The student must be at least 51% homeschooled or attend a school that does not have soccer.  

No prior soccer experience needed.  Come learn the game in a Christian atmosphere.

Regular registration ends March 1st.  A sibling discount of $50 will be offered.  If requested, a max $ per family per year across all programs of $1200 is available.

Games will generally be played on Monday, Tuesday or Friday evenings.  The tentative practice schedule is provided below. Home games and practices will be at St. Joseph Youth Soccer Association (2507 N Riverside Rd, St Joseph, MO 64507).  Away games will generally be against teams in the Kansas City and Topeka areas.

Tentative Practice Schedule

February 1st – March 21st:  Thursdays 3:45 - 5:45
Saturdays 10:00 – 12:00

March 9th – May 7th:  Mondays and Thursdays 3:45 – 5:15

Defenders Basketball (3rd - 6th Grade) - Winter 2025

Basketball registration open for 3rd though 6th Graders!  The student must be at least 51% homeschooled or attend a private school that does not have basketball.

No prior basketball experience needed.  Come learn the game in a Christian atmosphere.

Regular registration ends November 10th.  Late registration until November 30th.  Sibling discount of $50.  If requested, Max $ per family per school year across all programs is $1200.

We have two choices for local leagues.  Depending on which league (maybe both if there is interest), games will be on Saturdays or evenings on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. Again depending on which league, games will start in December or January and end in mid to late February.  Both leagues have about a 7-8 game season. Local tournaments, if there is interest, are also a possibility.

Practices are planned for Thursdays between 6 and 8PM at Interserv starting November 6th and ending in February.

Defenders Basketball (Junior High and Senior High) - Winter 2025

No prior basketball experience needed.  Come learn the game in a Christian atmosphere.

Regular registration ends October 15th.  Late registration ends November 15th.  Sibling discount of $50.  If requested, a max $ per family per school year across all programs of $1200 is available.

Games are generally played on Tuesday and Friday evenings starting in mid-November and ending the first weekend in March.
